Zambian Government Boarding School
Standard Microgrid assessed, designed, procured and constructed a 24 kW solar PV / Battery / diesel battery system for Sioma High School in the rural Western Province of Zambia. The system powers the classrooms, administrative buildings, dormatories, head teacher's home and local police station at the 900 student boarding school. Maachalo Mweenda, a local member of the community continues to manage the system based on the training provided to him by Standard Microgrid in 2013 when the system was commissioned.
